TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The terms and conditions apply to the use of the ‘Design-a gifts/Artyparty’ website ‘www.design-agifts.com/artyparty’ and to the booking of an Artyparty by any method. By accessing the ‘Design-a gifts/Artyparty’ website and/or booking a party, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please do not continue to use the ‘Design-a gifts/Artyparty’ website or book a party if you do not agree with the following terms and conditions:
MY CONTACT DETAILS
Please feel free to contact me by phone 07912 444 960 or by email artyparty@design-agifts.com. I prefer my postal address to remain private until an order is placed. I then provide my postal address in an invoice.
YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS
You are not required to register your details to access the ‘Design-a gifts/Artyparty’ website. The only time I require your personal details is when you book a party or wish to meet me in person to discuss your requirements [no obligation]. Any personal information imparted during the booking process will be used only to carry out your Artyparty. I NEVER pass personal information on.

BOOKING A PARTY
A party can be booked in the following ways:

DEPOSIT
A non-refundable deposit of £40 is required to secure your party booking and will be deducted from your final invoice. An invoice will be drawn up at the time of booking in order to calculate the deposit value, but this invoice may be altered before the date of the party if the number of guests changes. The final balance must be paid in full on or before the date of the party. I currently accept cash or cheques made payable to Zoë Magee.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be received at least 14 days in advance of the date of the party otherwise the full remaining balance will remain due. A cancellation may be made by telephone but must be followed up in writing. If the party cannot take place because there is no response from the given party address and agreed time, then the full charge will remain due. If anyone other than the original person who booked the party [hirer] is to take the role of host I must be informed of this arrangement in advance and they must be made aware of my terms and conditions.
If there is a reduction in the number of children attending the party, I must be informed at least 7 days before the date of the party otherwise the full charge for the original number of children will still remain due. In the event of the party having to be postponed, please contact me as soon as possible for the party date to be rearranged. I regret that I am unable to give refunds for guests that do not attend.
I may on occasion be forced to withdraw part of the quoted party services where, despite my best efforts, physical space or set up time on the day is limited for factors beyond my control [for example traffic delays, damaged equipment, venue constraints].

CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO CARRY OUT AN ARTYPARTY
If, for any reason I cannot carry out an Artyparty I will endeavour to notify you within a reasonable amount of time. If an alternative date for the party cannot be arranged or you simply want your deposit returned, I will return any deposit amounts paid.
THE PARTY
For the first hour I assist the guests in making their own name plaques. Once this hour is complete I begin to assemble the plaques ready for take-home. This can take up to one hour, depending on number of plaques made.
SAFETY
I provide all equipment and materials to do this and will demonstrate how to use the equipment and materials safely. An Artyparty is not suitable for those under 8 years old due to manufacturer's instruction. Please note that I cannot be held responsible for any injuries caused by the misuse of the equipment and materials I provide.
The modeling medium provided is a non-toxic polymer clay [FIMO/SCULPEY], which hardens in a domestic oven at low temperatures of 130/265 GM1 for 25 minutes. Once baked, it is durable and colour fast. A full copy of the manufacturer’s safety information is available for you to read upon request [before or during the party]. A scanned copy of the manufacturer’s safety information is also available on my website for both FIMO and SCULPEY polymer clays. I would advise you [hirer/host] to familiarise yourself with this information.

PROCEDURE
I set a timer for 55 minutes and when this time is up I announce that the guests have 5 minutes before I begin to collect their art work for baking and assembly. I have found [with both children and adults] that this enables them to finish off what they are doing without disappointment. At a suitable point during the party I will request that the oven is turned on by the host to the correct temperature, which I will check using an oven thermometer.
Once the first hour is complete I clear the activity area and work alone to bake and assemble the name plaques to ensure they are ready to take home. The guests will need to be otherwise occupied during this period.
PROTECTION OF SURFACES
I provide a certain level of table coverage in order to protect your table to the best of my ability. You will be responsible for protecting any areas of flooring in your home should you choose to do so. Upon completion of the first hour I will clear away as much mess as possible before proceeding with the baking and assembly of the name plaques made. I cannot be held responsible for any injury, damage or loss of property during the party howsoever caused [for instance tripping over the floor covering].
Due to the nature of the modelling medium and the way people tend to over work the clay, darker colours can sometimes transfer onto hands. Although it will not stain the skin, and it is unlikely that the colour will transfer onto the guest’s clothing, the manufacturer of FIMO suggests that hands are washed each time this occurs. This is a choice that will be down to each individual guest. A sensible suggestion is to use baby wipes. I usually keep a packet of baby wipes handy and if I have them at the time of your party I will mention that the guests may ask for one at any time.

BEHAVIOR AND SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN
I require that, while I am working with children, a responsible adult [host/hirer] remains present at all times to take charge of the behavior, safety and supervision of the children. The responsibility of the children will lay with this person. I require the host/hirer to provide at least 1 responsible adult [this can be the hirer themselves] to be present throughout the duration of the party. They will remain liable for the safety of all guests throughout the duration of the party. The host/hirer is responsible for all children attending the party and must ensure that they behave in the proper manner at all times. In the event of a child behaving in an unacceptable manner, I may ask the host/hirer to deal with the child in order to minimise the disruption to the entertainment provided.
USE OF EQUIPMENT
Please be aware that I cannot be held responsible for any faults that occur to any equipment/appliance that I may use upon your property.
COMPLAINTS
My customers are very important to me. I understand the power of ‘word of mouth’ recommendations and would hate to think that one of my customers was not completely happy with the service they have received. If you for any reason feel that your experience with me was unsatisfactory please contact me immediately by phone 07912 444 960 or by email zoe@design-agifts or by post to the address found on your invoice and I promise to resolve your complaint to the best of my ability and as quickly as possible. If I have to alter my procedures as a result of your complaint I will do so immediately.

AGREEMENT
If you have any queries regarding these terms and conditions I will assume that you will contact me before the party takes place. If not then I will take it as a sign of your agreement of these terms and conditions. Kind regards, Zoë Magee
DISCLAIMER
I cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any death or injury caused during an Artyparty, however incurred. The name plaques created and taken by the guests are not toys and should not be given to small children.
